For live programs, special broadcasts, and deadline-driven projects, the following expectations apply:
-
- All involved parties, including team leads, must acknowledge and respond to messages promptly.
- If you are not receiving responses, ensure your team members are using their @kpfa.org email address and Slack.
-
- If the producer does not communicate 15 minutes before a live show, the board operator must notify the Chief Engineer.
- If the board operator does not respond to communications, producers must inform the Programming Director.
- Music hosts should notify the Music Director if they encounter any issues that need to be addressed.
- For special broadcasts, content differing from the usual schedule, or time-sensitive projects, please schedule a planning meeting involving all participants to clarify expectations and details.
Ramification: Meeting expectations requires a collaborative effort. After each show, share concerns and constructive feedback during a debriefing session. Notify management if any difficulties arise in maintaining a cooperative working environment, facilitating communication, or finding solutions. Failure to meet these communication responsibilities and to maintain open, clear and responsive lines of communication lead to confusion and possible disruption to your program.
