The Price of One Vallejo Police Officer’s Baton w/ Scott Morris

Over the past two months, the city of Vallejo has paid out $672,000 in settlements to victims of excessive force lawsuits filed against Vallejo police Officer Robert DeMarco. According to the Vallejo Sun, the lawsuits stem from two incidents in 2017 and 2018 where Officer DeMarco struck two men with his baton while they were lying on the ground. Journalist Scott Morris joins us to describe these events. Morris covers policing, protest, civil rights, and far-right extremism for the Vallejo Sun.
