Opponents condemn SFPD use of killer robots ahead of final vote December 6

San Francisco Board of Supervisors are set for a final vote on whether to authorize SFPD to use killer robots on Tuesday. We’re joined by Dean Preston, San Francisco Supervisor for District 5 to discuss the policy that would authorize lethal force, why it would be needed, the risks to the community – especially Black and Brown residents of San Francisco – and how funding and maintenance of military weapons for SFPD could be better spent on measures for public safety. Opponents are urging the Board of Supervisors not to approve the reckless policy at its next meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday December 6.
