Norco Prison to Close Because of Falling Inmate Population w/ Amber-Rose Howard

The California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, CA, once an art deco hotel turned state prison, is slated to shut down by 2026. State officials announced the closure, citing a continued decline in the state’s incarcerated population. The City of Norco has long advocated for the facility’s closure, arguing the site could be put to better use.
