Black Lives Matter is a global movement whose impact on the struggle for Black liberation cannot be overstated. Like iwth any movement, it has had its share of struggle and controversy – much of that due to state’s interference and deliberate attempts to destroy organizing in Black communities. There is a lot of misinformation and confusion about what’s happening – so on today’s show we clear some things up and set the record straight with Dr Melina Abdullah, a professor and chair of pan-African studies at Cal State Los Angeles, as well as the co-founder of the Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter and co-founder of Black Lives Matter Grassroots.
