Stokely Carmichael, later known as Kwame Toure was the Director of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, also known as SNCC. He’s credited with coining the phrase “Black Power.” We’ll now hear excerpts from a few of his speeches as he addresses University of Michigan college students and the Black Panther Party alike, speaking about the subject of black love and black power.
