Today, well explore activism and faults in the US Constitution. First, journalist, historian, and organizer L.A. Kauffman has a new book out called Direct Action: Protest and the Reinvention of American Radicalism, that couldn’t have been released at a better time. Kauffman will explore the history of past movements and the lessons that we can draw on to resist the Trump agenda. Then, we’ll examine the root causes that are actually embedded in our own Constitution. My guest will be Sanford Levinson joining us to discuss a new book he has co-authored called Fault Lines in the Constitution: The Framers, Their Fights, and the Flaws That Affect Us Today.
