LIsa Dettmer talks to Pamela Peniston, Executive Director of the Queer Cultural Center, about the upcoming Queer Arts Festival events, a festival that is one of the largest and most cutting edge LGBT arts festivals in the world with hundreds of films, performances and art shows in various venues in the Bay Area throughout the month of June. And we talk with FuiFui Nimeitolu from OLO, a Queer women's Pacific Islander group who is presenting a theater and art performance this Wednesday evening, June 9th at the Garage, as part of the Queer Arts festival. In addition, we talk to writer, scholar and performer Lisa Marie Rollins who is staging her one woman show "Ungrateful Daughter: One Black Girl's Story of Being Adopted into a White Family….that aren't celebrities" a personal story of her adoption into a white family and the hilarious and complex issues this brings up.
