Whistleblower and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar accused a U.S. and Israel-funded nonprofit of “not only implicitly but also explicitly furthering the conduct of genocide in Gaza” KPFA is co-sponsoring Eyewitness Gaza, a community forum featuring retired U.S. Army Green Beret and whistleblower Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar.
Aguilar will share firsthand experiences from Gaza and discuss his decision to resign from his role with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation after concluding that the mission was not humanitarian in nature. His remarks offer a rare, on-the-ground perspective on conditions in Gaza and the ethical questions raised by international involvement.
The evening will include an introduction by Professor Ussama Makdisi, historian and Chancellor’s Chair in Palestinian and Arab Studies at UC Berkeley.
