A public conversation and official launch of the national book tour for Ending Isolation: The Case Against Solitary Confinement (Pluto Press, 2025), featuring the book’s authors: Dr. Terry Kupers, Deborah Zalesne, and Chris Blackwell (joining by phone from prison). The event will be hosted by Cat Brooks, activist and host of KPFA’s Law & Disorder.

With a special remote appearance by Angela Y. Davis, this gathering brings together leading voices in the fight to abolish solitary confinement and exposes the psychological, physical, and systemic harms of isolation in U.S. prisons and detention centers.
