Earth Doula w/ Queen Hollins; Resistance in Residence Artist Colette Ghunim

We spend today’s hour in conversation with elder queer Black Indigenous healer and the Founder and Director of the Earthlodge Center for Transformation (the Earthlodge), Queen Hollins, in conversation about her new book called Earth Doula. It’s an illustrated guide for Earth medicine, stewardship, and healing. At a time when so many have forgotten or been disconnected from sustaining life, Queen Hollins immerses us in Black Indigenous wisdom, practices, and rituals to grow resilience as a thriving planet.

Our Resistance in Residence Artist this week is Mexican-Palestinian-American filmmaker Colette Ghunim, whose film titled Traces of Home follows Colette’s journeys with her parents to find the ancestral houses they were forced to flee as children in Mexico and Palestine. What begins as a desire to connect to Colette’s cultural origins reveals an internal quest to heal her disconnect with her parents, and, ultimately, with herself. Learn more at TracesOfHome.Com
