On June 20th the FBI raided of the homes of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao as well as both David and Andy Duong, owners of California Waste Solutions, the city’s recycling contractor. Since that time bits and pieces of why have trickled out over news headlines and social media posts. The Oaklandside has been a primary source of coverage for the Bay Area on this unfolding drama.
