As Israel continues into its now more than 9 month violent onslaught on Gaza, some of the Palestinians who’ve been displaced from their homes are seeking refuge elsewhere, but leaving Gaza is no simple or cheap task, and fundraising is particularly hard when your access to electricity, internet, and ultimately, community, is not reliable. Our guest today previously worked as a journalist in Ramallah in the West Bank, reporting on life under occupation. Since her time there, she has visited Palestine regularly, and is now working from within the US to help a family in Gaza find their way out. Renee Lewis joins us from Washington State.
