- Trump’s eligibility for the presidential ballot is in the hands of the U.S. Supreme Court. The 9 justices heard arguments in the case of “Trump vs Anderson,” an appeal from a Colorado State Supreme Court ruling that bars former President Donald Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot under the “Insurrection Clause” of the 14th Amendment.
