The ACLU has sued the City of Colorado Springs, members of the Colorado Springs Police Department, and the FBI, for aggressive overreach and repression during the Colorado Springs 2020 protest movement. We’re joined this morning by the primary plaintiff in the lawsuit, Jacqueline Armendariz Unzueta, along with Tim Macdonald, the Legal Director of the ACLU of Colorado and the lead attorney for the lawsuit we’re discussing today. We’re also joined by Trevor Aaronson, a journalist and the author of The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI’s Manufactured War on Terrorism. He is a contributing writer for The Intercept and the host of a podcast which documented the FBI’s role in Colorado’s 2020 protest movement called Alphabet Boys.
