A weekly magazine-style radio show featuring the voices and stories of Asians and Pacific Islanders from all corners of our community. The show is produced by a collective of media makers, deejays, and activists.
On tonight’s monthly South Asia spotlight, we bring you some fantastic highlights from the upcoming 3rdi South Asian Film Festival that runs from Nov 7 to 10 in San Francisco and Nov 16th in Palo Alto.
We discuss with the film festival’s Associate Program Manager Pallavi Somusetty; and sit down in in depth conversation with renowned Sri Lankan film maker Prasanna Vithanage about his brilliant film Gaadi: Children of the Sun that premieres at this festival; later in the show, we also talk to filmmaker Prarthana Mohan about her feisty, funny feminist coming of age film, The Miseducation of Bindu, that will screen at the Palo Alto edition of the festival.
