Richard Langs has run the all-volunteer Ambassador Program at the Tilden course for the past decade and has provided his photographic skills for Northern California charity events run by local golf course operators. His first book, Tilden Regional Park, — a history of the park itself — was published in early March.

Correction: Tilden Park did not have nuclear tipped missiles, they were anti-aircraft missile that were employed for a short time (between 1959-1962) to defend against an attack by Soviet long-range bombers. After 1962 the missiles were deactivated (page 145.)
