Guitarist, singer-songwriter Victor Krummenacher, a founding member of Camper Van Beethoven and Monks of Doom, has just released his latest solo album, Blue Pacific, a collection of deep, inward-looking, original folk-rock songs, recorded with Greg Lisher (Camper, Monks), David Immerglück (Camper, Monks, Counting Crows), co-producer and pedal steel master Bruce Kaphan, and many others. He talks with host Derk Richardson about the making of the album, shares three tracks from the CD, and plays four songs solo acoustic in the KPFA studio. In the second hour: more music produced or performed by pivotal record producer John Simon, and new music by Michael Chapman, Mekons, Barbara Higbie, and Naomi Moon Siegel.
