Fund Drive Special: The Left-Forum 2016

Today’s left generates an increasingly bold and resonant criticism of contemporary capitalism and the severely compromised everyday life that it produces. From Occupy Wall Street to Black Lives Matter to escalating climate justice and gender freedom demands and the movement against mass incarceration, state sanction terrorism to the restructuring of party politics, left critique is going big. And today on HKR we offer critique generated from the left, featuring the voices of Jill Stein, Medea Benjamin, Amy Goodman, Tariq Ali and Chris Hedges. Each person spoke at the Left-Forum Conference Rage, Rebellion, Revolution: Organizing Our Power. The conference was hosted at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, The City University of New York, May 20-May 22, 2016.
