In honor of Frameline, the SF GLBTQ Film Festival, Reyna Cowan interviewed two filmmakers whose films were featured in this year’s festival. Filmmaker, David Weissman spoke about his ongoing short film series, Conversations with Gay Elders where he interviews gay men pre-stonewall about their experiences being gay. Deb Shovall, director of the lesbian feature AWOL spoke about her film, its link with young poor and working class women joining the military and its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
