This show is dedicated to Oakland based percussionist/poet-writer Kamau Seitu, who continues his strong commitment to and love for the music called jazz.
Pianist/educator Ellis Marsalis celebrates his 74th birthday today.
*Note:In set four, which starts with Wadada Leo Smith the first two selections are solo pieces, trumpet and flute, followed by a duet, then trio and closing the set with the Robert Stewart Quartet.
