Onsite Submission (within KPFA’s building):

  1. Save your program on Temps! in “#FOR BROADCAST ON AIR” within the airdate of your show.
  2. Create a Folder on your Date for your show with Start time and Tittle example: 9am Democracy now
  3. save the show or any clips that will be played during your show in this folder for the board operator to find.
    • REMEMBER
      • Save your programs/clips as .wav at 16 bit 44.1kHz (The automation machine does not play 32 bit)
  4. Notify the Operations Department by emailing us at programs@kpfa.org.
    • programs@kpfa.org automatically forwards your email to Board-Ops, Traffic Coordinator, Web Producer, Operations Manager, Chief Engineer and Program Director = everyone that needs to know.

 

 

Offsite Submission (outside of KPFA’s building):

  1. Name your program as follows “TIME-DAY-DATE(YYYYMMDD)-PROGRAM-PART.mp3″
    • for example:
      • 1PM-TUE-20180320-YOHAF.mp3 (YOHAF = Your Own Health and Fitness)
      • 12PM-THURS-20180322-BEHINDTHENEWS-INTRO.mp3 and 12PM-THURS-20180322-BEHINDTHENEWS-SHOW.mp3 for programs with a news billboard
    • REMEMBER
      • Save your programs as .mp3 at 16 bit 44.1kHz (.wav files can not be uploaded)
  2. Upload your program to KPFA’s Dropbox by going to secure.kpfa.org/dropbox
    • username: kpfa
    • pword: 1929mlk
  3. Notify the Operations Department by emailing us at programs@kpfa.org.
    • programs@kpfa.org automatically forwards your email to Board-Ops, Traffic Coordinator, Web Producer, Operations Manager, Chief Engineer and Program Director = everyone that needs to know.
    • You should receive a confirmation email that your program was downloaded. If you did not receive a confirmation your show might have been missed.
