On today's Act One, we start off the first half hour with Poets West: The Holiday Spirit – a Christmas program featuring poems about the less fortunate. It is hosted by J. Glenn Evans and features J. Andrew Rodriguez, Geoff Pope, Jean Musser, Mike Dillon, Priya Keefe, Michael Magee, and J. Glenn Evans. Poets West is produced in Everett, Washington.

For the last hour of Act One, community actors perform Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Cora Wilson Greenwood.  Actors include Susannah Wood, Vicky Wang, Antonio Ortiz, Rashidath Agbabiaka, Hazel Shoemaker and Marnie Lee.  This was produced in Berkeley, California.
