All hour slots should allow for 2 minutes of announcements. KPFA Programs must follow the below total running times (TRTs):
1 hour = 58:00.000 min
1/2 hour = 29:00.000 min
This excludes nationally syndicated programs that broadcast LIVE on Pacifica’s KU Satellite, which are set at 59:00 minutes.
It is imperative that all shows stick to the above TRTs because automation will either 1) cut off programs that are too long or 2) air silence if a program is too short.
IMPORTANT: Shows that will not be played
- Any program longer than 58:00.000 or 29:00.000, that are not syndicated, will not be played.
- Any program shorter (more than 5 seconds shorter), will not be played.
