Step Africa performs “The Migration: Reflections on Jacob Lawrence” on November 2nd and 3rd at Zellerbach Hall.
This celebrated step dance company celebrates its 30th anniversary with a powerful production that tells the story of the great migration through black dance forms, bold visual art and vivid theatricality
The migration is based on Jacob Lawrence’s famous series of paintings from the early 1940’s. It features music by Nina Simone and John Coltrane.
The November 2nd performance is at 8pm. The November 3 performance is at 3pm.
Zellerbach Hall is located on Bancroft between Dana Street and Telegraph Avenue on the UC Berkeley campus.
