Garden for the Environment announces the following events taking place in November:
Volunter days take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 3pm. You can help with garden maintenance, working alongside staff and fellow volunteers with activities such as harvesting, pruning, and weeding.
On Saturday, November 15, you can learn how to make a rainwater harvesting system. In this system you learn what to consider and where to start for constructing systems as simple as a single barrel under a downspout. This helps to keep precious rainwater out of the sewer and keep money in your pocket by harvesting the water that lands on your roof.
Garden for the Environment is located at 1590 7th Avenue in San Francisco.
