The 9th Annual Black Eyed Pea Festival takes place on Saturday, September 14, from 11am to 6pm.
All ages are welcome to this festival featuring African American music from several genres, activities for children, hand made crafts from people of African descent, and mouth watering soul food.
The event is presented by the Omnira Institute whose mission is to preserve & extend the threads of sacred knowledge from West Africa to the Americas.
The event takes place at Marston Campbell Park, located at 17th and West streets in Oakland.
