Ardenwood Historic Farm, one of the East Bay Regional Parks, offers the following activities in October.
You can participate in the Deep Farms Pumpkin Patch activities. There are many pumpkins to choose from as well as arts and crafts. These activities take place on the weekends of October 11 & 12, 18 & 19, 25 & 26, from 10am to 4pm.
On October 17 and 18, as well as October 24 & 25, from 7pm to 9pm, You can experience a frightfully fun nighttime train ride through Ardenwood’s Haunted Forest. The ride is spooky, not scary, and is especially designed for children under 12.
On October 11 and 12, you can visit the annual Harvest Festival. You can enjoy cider pressing, live music, and historic crafts. You can ride a narrow gauge train and learn what late 19th century life was like on a tour of a beautifully restored farmhouse.
