Today WorkWeek will look at the struggle of San Francisco education workers fighting for justice at the Martin Luther King Middle School in San Francisco. They recently went to Sacramento to speak at the California Commission On Teacher Credentials to speak about the physical abuse of students, racism and bullying against teachers and staff.
We will hear the voice of Pete Seeger about his visit to San Francisco in 1941 with Woody Guthrie and and their concert for the ILWU Local 10 strike committee.
WorkWeek will also go to South Africa and look at the largest union the National Union of Metal Workers and their call for a new socialist working class party in South Africa and what these new political developments will mean for the workers in South Africa.
