The Morning Show looks at provisions in the new budget that would relax sanctions against Cuba. Then a preview of this weekends El Salvadoran presidential election. Followed by two reports from Sacramento, one with Assemblymember Sandre Swanson about federal stimulus dollars in California and the other with State Senator Mark Leno on a Single Payer health plan for California. In the second hour Letters to Washington: The First 100 Days with Mitch Jeserich discussing Charles Freeman who is out as head of the National Intelligence Lobby. Wrapping up the program Joseph Schwartz, author and Assoc. Prof. of Political Science at Temple University, discusses his book “The Future of Democratic Equality: Rebuilding Social Solidarity in a Fragmented America."
