Join Bonnie Simmons and Derk Richardson for one of their tag-team spectaculars during KPFA’s summer Friend-Drive. Either Bonnie or Derk will pick the first song of set, then the other will choose the next song, and they will segue back and forth, developing a topical theme for each set—could be cities, could be food, could be love, could be death. You’ll want to stay within earshot of your radio for all four hours to hear two of your favorite programmers struggle, stumble, feint, and fake it, trying to keep up with each other as they improvise their way through the evening.
