7:30 – 8 p.m. In Honor of Veterans around the world

War, Earth, and the Soul: The Warrior’s Path of Redemption, this half-hour special exposes the devastating power of technological warfare on peopleand the land. It also questions whether war is really a viable response to conflict in the 21st century, given the destruction of human civilization and nature on a global scale. And, it tells the emotional story of one Vietnam veteran’s journey back to Vietnam where his soul finally begins to find peace. His experience shows us that confronting the demons of war can lead to a path of healing and reverence for life.

The author of War and the Soul, Dr. Ed Tick is a widely recognized expert on the psychological and spiritual impacts of war including post-traumatic stress disorder. He has treated many veterans and survivors of the Vietnam War, World War II, the Holocaust, and now, the War in Iraq. The experience of war is so extreme that ?War causes soul wounds? says Tick. This is a Bioneers special.
