As the pioneering world fusion band Ancient Future prepares for its 40th anniversary concert (Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse in Berkeley), founder and scalloped-fretboard guitar wizard Matthew Montfort brings a version of the group into the KPFA studio to perform live on “The Hear and Now.” The quartet will include Mindia Devi Klein (bansuri flute), Mariah Parker (piano, santur), and Jason Parmer (tabla, udu, conga). Derk Richardson hosts and Tony Ferro engineers.
