Dhoruba Speaks

This collection features the powerful and uncompromising voice of Dhoruba Bin-Wahad, a lifelong revolutionary, former political prisoner, and leading intellectual in Black liberation struggles. A former member of the Black Panther Party and co-founder of the Black Liberation Army, Dhoruba was targeted by COINTELPRO and wrongfully imprisoned for nearly 20 years before his conviction was overturned due to prosecutorial misconduct. Since his release, he has remained an outspoken critic of empire, racial capitalism, and U.S. state violence.

In these recordings, Dhoruba delves into a range of topics including Pan-Africanism, the enduring impact of colonialism, the racial contradictions of American democracy, and the global implications of U.S. imperialism. With his sharp analysis and historical insight, he challenges mainstream narratives about race, power, and resistance, offering an unfiltered perspective on the continuing fight for Black liberation.

This collection serves as both an archive of radical thought and a call to action, urging listeners to confront the realities of systemic oppression and to envision a future rooted in self-determination and collective struggle.
