Chana Wilson is a storyteller, radio producer, and an award-winning author. She began at KPFA in 1973, back in the days of magnetic tape edited with razor blades, joining the collectively produced show Lesbian Air. For eight years, she hosted A World Wind, a weekly two-hour KPFA program of world music and interviews. She left radio to become a psychotherapist. Retiring after 30 years, she has returned to KPFA via the First Voice Apprenticeship Program to update skills and join a progressive broadcast community. Chana Wilson is the author of the memoir, Riding Fury Home (Seal Press). She has been a blogger on the Huffington Post in “Queer Voices,” and published essays in numerous anthologies.
