Apex Contributor Marie Choi teamed up with Sham Vishal Bhat from the Association for India’s Development to bring us a segment on the Wagher fisherpeople of Mundra and their fight against the corporate land-grabbing that is threatening their land and livelihoods.
We have a short live interview with our friends from VietUnity! VU is a volunteer organization who promotes a progressive voice within the Vietnamese community in the Bay Area, and supports leadership of Vietnamese youth, workers and families to organize for justice. They are planning a fundraiser at next week’s People Kitchen to raise money for an exciting new project – and they will be in studio to tell us about it!
