Today’s show is an introduction of the British writer, Geraldine Green, who resides in Cumbria. Green’s first book, “The Skin,” was published in 2003. “Passio” was published in 2006. “The Other Side of the Bridge” is her third poetry collection. It was done along with her practice-based PhD, which was called “An Exploration of Identity and Environment.” She has also written, under the pseudonym of Catie A. Coyle, “Poems of a Molecatcher’s Daughter.” Jack reads an excerpt from Geraldine Green’s thesis and then introduces Green herself as she read from her work at the Laurel Bookstore in Oakland in 2011. Poet George Wallace writes of Green, “Her infectious enthusiasm informs a created world which integrates the vocabulary of her locality with the universality of transcendent vision.” Part 2 of 2.
