Up Front – Frameline Film Festival; Russia Protests; Bicyce Ridership Booming

Over the next 11 days, the Frameline Film Festival will screen 217 films from over 30 countries, in what’s being billed as the largest LGBT film festival ever. We’ll look at some of the films—including “Love Free or Die” about the first-ever openly gay Anglican Bishop, and “Call me Kuchu” about the persecution of gays and lesbians in Uganda.

Then: Bicycling is on the move in the Bay, with ridership nearly doubling over the last year. We’ll speak with the heads of the East Bay and the San Francisco bicycle coalitions in a roundtable discussion about pedal power—our bicycle networks, and the struggle for more livable cities. And we’ll take your calls.
