The Oakland Museum of California has the following 2 special exhibitions on view for the price of one.
‘Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain” navigates the histories of displacement, resistance and resilience within black american communities in Oakland and the East Bay.
“Good Fire: Tending Native Lands” explores how native communities in Northern California have used controlled fire – also called “cultural burning” – to care fore the land & sustain traditions for millennia.
