Barbara Dane — an Oakland-based jazz, blues, and folk singer — became known not only for her powerful voice, but for her lifelong commitment to peace, justice, and solidarity with working people around the world. The film traces her remarkable journey through music and activism, while Miko Marks carries that legacy forward with a performance inspired by Dane’s fearless spirit.
