Programmers (Music and PA) and Board Operators listed above are responsible for the time slots with your name.  If the calendar is incorrect, in any way, please email Antonio Ortiz ([email protected]) or Kevin Cartwright ([email protected]) to update the grid.

Remember to check in with your Board Operator at least 15 minutes before your show.  Please email and or print a copy of your Run Sheet to [email protected].

IMPORTANT: Each program has a unique DAD# and our system will only play the program with the correct number.  If you are off by a number, you’re program will not play. DAD# are located in the details of your program.

On-site Submission (within KPFA’s building):

  1. Name your program “DAD#_MMMDD-PROGRAM-PART.wav”
    • for example:
      • 49801_AUG16-MUSICPROGRAMNAME.wav
      • 59800_AUG16-PAPROGRAMNAME-INTRO.wav and 59801_AUG16-PAPROGRAMNAME-SHOW.wav for programs with a news billboard
    • REMEMBER
      • Save your programs as .wav at 16 bit 44.1kHz (The on-air computer can now play 32 bit 48kHz as well)
  2. Save your program on \\sataraid\temps! in “#FOR BROADCAST ON AIR” within the airdate of your show.
  3. Notify the Operations Department by emailing us at [email protected].
    • [email protected] automatically forwards your email to Board-Ops, Traffic Coordinator, Web Producer, OperationsManager, Chief Engineer and Program Director = everyone that needs to know.

Offsite Submission (outside of KPFA’s building):

  1. Name your program as follows “DAD#_MMMDD-PROGRAM-PART.mp3″
    • Examples:
      • 49801_AUG16-MUSICPROGRAMNAME.mp3
      • 59800_AUG16-PAPROGRAMNAME-INTRO.mp3 and 59801_AUG16-PAPROGRAMNAME-SHOW.mp3 for programs with a news billboard
    • REMEMBER:
      • Save your programs as 128kbps (or greater) .mp3 at 16 bit 44.1kHz (.wav files take too long to upload)
  2. Upload your program to KPFA’s Dropbox by going to secure.kpfa.org/dropbox
  3. Notify the Operations Department by emailing us at [email protected].
    • [email protected] automatically forwards your email to Board-Ops, Traffic Coordinator, Web Producer, Operations Manager, Chief Engineer, and Program Director = everyone that needs to know.
