Below is a list of everything a KPFA Program must have in order to successfully create content, communicate with staff and listeners and promote the show.

Every Program must have the following:

  1. Email Account
  2. Program Information on kpfa.org/programs
    1. Program Title
    2. Program Description
    3. Generic Episode Description
    4. Theme Music (royalty free music or have written permission from Artist)
    5. Show Logo (for website)
    6. Host(s) and Producer(s) Names or Aliases and Bios
    7. Episode Duration (time) eg: 29 minutes, 58 minutes, etc.
    8. Frequency (eg: daily, weekly, biweekly, special)
    9. Type of show (Culture, Music or Public affairs)
    10. Social media handles
  3. Website Login
    • For every show host, producer and website assistant.
  4. All Host(s), Producer(s) and Web Assistant(s) officially accounted for
  5. Google Calendar
  6. Evergreens: minimum of 1 and up to 3 Evergreens Submitted for each Calendar Year.
  7. One Generic Show Promo: at exactly 30 sec

Music Programs or Programs that play copyrighted music must have the following:

  1. Confessor Login (for editing Website Playlists)

  1. Phone Extension (for calls to KPFA’s Business Line 510-848-6767)
    • Which can be forwarded to a cell phone.
    • Voice Mails can be forwarded to an @kpfa.org email account.

    • for entry into 1929 Martin Luther King Jr Way and Studios
    • Essential personnel during Covid Pandemic
  3. Computer Workstation Login
  4. vpn aka WireGuard
    • for access to the Temps! from offsite.
  5. Hindenburg Journalist Pro
    • 6 month Temporary Audio Editing License
