On Monday, January 19, from 11am to 2pm, the U.C. Berkeley Gill Tract holds a Martin Luther king jr. Way event welcoming prospective volunteers and visitors.
Complimentary lunch is served and lack of previous experience is ok.
Volunteers have put in over 11,000 hours on the land growing food for the community. They picked beans, turned rows, mulched paths, broke bread, drank tea, and lived one piece of the world together.
The U.C. Berkeley Gill Tract is located at 1050 San Pablo Avenue in Albany.
