To Tyrone Hayes – please relate to this to him,
As a vegetarian, the answer to his comment that we all kill to live is two fold. (I) assuming we want to reduce the amount of suffering in the world, (2) there is a gradient of consciousness of life from plants to plankton, shellfish, shrimp, fish, chickens, cows and pigs. It us up to each person to decide at what level of consciousness, ie. suffering, they are going to kill to eat. And it is clear statistically that vegetarians are healthier and live longer than meat eaters. There are so many other foods to eat that we don’t need to kill animals to live.
In case I didn’t make my point – The lower on the level of consciousness you eat, the less suffering you cause.
