Economists are in a vigorous debate this week after the release of a new report that is challenging the commonly stated notion that economies stall when debt reaches 90% of Gross Domestic Product.  It is an argument that has become an intellectual underpinning for proponents of austerity.  We speak to John Nichols of the Nation Magazine about the politics of it all and one of the authors of the new report Robert Pollin.
