Bay Area jazz bassist and composer Lisa Mezzacappa’s latest project is the Lisa Mezzacappa Trio featuring Fay Victor, which will perform at the YBCA New Frequencies Festival on Friday, Nov. 16. Mezzacappa and Victor, an amazing vocalist from Brooklyn, will perform live in the KPFA studio and talk with host Derk Richardson about the project, which marks Victor’s Bay Area debut. Victor will also conduct a vocal workshop on Sunday afternoon at The Jazz School in Berkeley.
