The Grateful Dead Annual Marathon

The 15-hour celebration begins at 10:00 am Pacific time and goes until 1 in the morning, with rare live recordings, interviews, and other treasures from the archives of this legendary American band whose history has been entwined with KPFA's since bassist Phil Lesh was a board operator in the early '60s. KPFA has broadcast dozens of Grateful Dead shows form the Greek Theater and elsewhere, and of course Dead to the World is heard here every Wednesday at 8pm.

The KPFA Grateful Dead Marathon will be webcast on nugs.net and gdradio.net as well as kpfa.org and kfcf.org, so please pass the word to friends all over the planet so they won't miss a moment of the magic.

With host David Gans.
