Emerald Isle
An Irish landlady, rummaging through her young tenant’s belongings, declares her love for him. It turns out she is not a landlady at all, however, but a jazz vocalist in a nightclub introducing a ballad. She sings her song of longing and later complains to her manager about the wretched tour he has arranged for her. Joe presents his "ode to woman," featuring a housewife, cheerleader, flight attendant, businesswoman, streetwalker, among others.
