Sonia Sanchez writes poetry with revolutionary fervor and intensity. Women’s Magazine presents an interview with this prolific writer and poet who is currently poet-in-residence and professor of Black American Literature and Creative Writing at Temple University. The interview is ollowed by poems from Iranian poet Fallojah Ah Assad and former San Francisco Poet Laurete Devorah Major. Later on in the program, we talk to J. California Cooper, the acclaimed playwright and author. Her most recent book is entitled Wild Stars Seeing Midnight Suns.
