A U.S. helicopter gunship fired at Iraqis milling around a burning U.S.
tank in a Baghdad street today, killing at least 13 and wounding over 60.

The city also suffered at least seven car bombs and insurgents fired a dozen
mortars into the U.S. occupied green zone compound.

Afghan protestors angered at president Hamid Karzai’s sacking of a governor
in the west of the country ransack United Nations compounds, leaving three
people dead and dozen wounded.

Russia says it reserves the right to carry out pre-emptive strikes on bases
abroad in the wake of last week’s massive school hostage taking.

The ten year old federal assault weapons ban sunsets tomorrow, at
which time weapons like the AK-47 and the Uzi will be legally available in
the U.S.
